much of the original engine capacity remained the same with most of the performance increase benefiting from the extreme weight reduction, and the change in geometry lowering the front of the motorcycle. the whole electrical system was inspected and new wires routed for the custom flat-tracker style subframe, using bar-end mirrors and bobber-styled tail light bracket.
zero to hero in the TURN of a key, gridlock to freedom, stasis to inertia moving body and soul.
Juliet, 1982 yamaha xv750 virago transformed urban flat-tracker custom motorbike, was the first builT to be accomplished on the road to freedom, self-expression greasier hands and life living. THis is the culmination of design, engineering and photography efforts.
the process involved disassembling and re-assembling the entire motorcycle, inspecting engine, wiring and frame, redesigning the light-weight custom subframe to support the Bobber style single seat. The seat was chosen as a focus point of the build, inspired by single seats from harley-davidson motorbikes in the 40s and 50s, along with 60s and 70s BMW airheads, along with THE SINGLE main inspiration for the ENXV750 Juliet: the bmw r69s.
